Searches at the Department of Emergency Situations. Raed Arafat's phone, picked up by prosecutors
On Friday, searches took place at several hospitals in Bucharest and in the country, as well as at the Department for Emergency Situations. Several employees' phones, including Raed Arafat's, were seized.

According to sources from the investigation, two hospitals in Bucharest, Floreasca and Gerota, are targeted. According to the prosecutors, there are two doctors from the Floreasca hospital and one from Gerota who would also have worked at the DSU, and the investigators' suspicion is that the doctors would not have presented themselves at the DSU.
The investigation is being carried out by the Military Prosecutor's Office attached to the Bucharest Court of Appeal, and on Friday, from the Floreasca hospital, the individual employment contracts of the two doctors, job cards, time sheets proving that they were at work were taken.
The period from October 2021 to the present is considered. Also, phones from the top of the DSU were seized, including the phone of Raed Arafat, the head of the DSU.
Raed Arafat did not want to comment on the action of the prosecutors. He said, instead, that at this moment we are talking about a file that targets facts, not people.
“We will issue a statement. It is IN REM (investigation), it is under analysis, I have nothing to comment until we see what it is about. I will not comment, we will issue a statement”he stated Raed Arafat for the Observer.
