Context
The preliminary telephone conversation Trump and Putin were held on March 18. Sources of CNN said that the main topic of negotiations should be concessions that Russia is ready to go to achieve a peace agreement with Ukraine. Then Putin allegedly agreed with Trump's proposal to stop shelling of the energy infrastructure of Ukraine, but put forward the conditions for the cessation of military assistance and the transfer of intelligence to Ukraine. At the same time, Trump in an interview with Fox News said that they did not discuss the topic of assistance to Ukraine. The American president noted that he considers a telephone conversation successful.
On March 30, Trump, during a telephone conversation with NBC News, said that he intends to hold a new conversation with Putin in which they will discuss Ukraine next week.
