“Once I sent my son to Switzerland. Five days later they wrote to me: “Take him.” And this was one of the most sobering moments in my motherhood. I really wanted him to study abroad. I saw it so clearly – a good university, European life, opportunities that I did not have at his age. I was convinced that I knew what was best,” admitted Dimopoulos.
The blogger noted that her son did not share her enthusiasm. But she found a camp in Switzerland and sent Daniel there for three weeks, hoping that he would want to stay.
“He didn’t show up on time, argued with the rules, asked questions that adults don’t like to answer,” Dimopoulos emphasized.
According to the singer, she felt angry, and then realized that she was trying to realize her dream in the life of a child.
“Now he’s almost 18, he lives in Kyiv and I miss him madly. His friends, his favorite city and his usual way of life are there. This year he finishes school and decides where to go. I would really like him to choose Europe, of course, but he didn’t choose it,” admitted Dimopoulos.
She advised mothers to let their children make their own choices.
