In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, teenagers saved a woman and children from a burning house (video)

June 3 11:53

Two boys aged 12 and 14 years old saved a family during a fire in the city of Uzhur, Krasnoyarsk Territory.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, on June 2 in the afternoon, a veranda caught fire in a private residential building, and at that time a woman and her two young children were sleeping in the room. Neighbors noticed the fire and smoke. While eyewitnesses called firefighters, two schoolchildren, without hesitation, rushed to help people.

“The veranda was already all on fire. The guys ran around the house and began banging on the window. At this time, a young mother, who woke up from a knock, broke the window from the inside and handed over a 6-month-old child to the teenagers, and then a 2-year-old boy. She herself was not able to get out of the smoke-filled house through the window right away. When she finally managed to do this, fire crews arrived,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

The area of the fire was 84 square meters; it was eliminated by 2 units of equipment and 8 personnel. The preliminary cause of the fire is said to be a short circuit in the electrical wiring – it could not withstand the load, since a washing machine and a lamp were working on the veranda at the same time.
