The Zheleznodorozhny District Court of Krasnoyarsk refused to recognize theMember of the State Duma and current Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Sergei Natarov has diseases that prevent him from being in custody.

The defense filed a lawsuit against Krasnoyarsk City Clinic No. 7, which conducted a medical examination of Natarov in November 2025 for the presence of diseases that prevented him from being in custody. Today Natarov was connected via video link from the KTB-1 hospital of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia.

Lawyer Alexander Khropot claims that according to the diagnoses of doctors of Krasnoyarsk Regional Hospital No. 1, Regional Tuberculosis Hospital No. 1 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia and clarifications of the Ministry of Health of Russia, Sergei Natarov has been diagnosed with at least 5 diseases that prevent him from being in custody, according to the Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation dated January 14, 2011 No. 3, as amended.

“However, the medical commission of the Krasnoyarsk city clinic No. 7, which is entrusted with the authority to conduct medical examinations of accused and suspected persons, did not establish such diseases, conducting only a 10-minute examination of Sergei Natarov,” the lawyer said.

According to him, in court, a representative of Krasnoyarsk city clinic No. 7 even stated that “if Sergei Natarov is released from custody on these grounds, then half of the pre-trial detention center must be released.”

Let us recall that in October 2024, Natarov underwent emergency stenting of the heart vessels, after which he was assigned disability group III.

The defense will file an appeal and, in the future, if necessary, a complaint to the 8th Cassation Court of Kemerovo.

Let us remind you that among the violations of the law charged to Sergei Natarov are “illegal trade markups” and “artificially inflated prices” for supplied goods. The case included data on a premium of 10–35%, although other entrepreneurs, called as witnesses in court, said that they themselves apply a premium of up to 100%. The expert who calculated the amount of damage could not explain what formula he used for this, and the head of the Turukhansky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Oleg Sheremetyev, stated that Sergei Natarov had nothing to do with the supply of goods to Igarka.
