— Thank you to Poland for its constant support for North Macedonia. The start of negotiations is a strengthening for Europe. We agreed with Minister Sikorski that the new geopolitical conditions require strong leadership. Poland shows such leadership, said Timczo Mucunski.

Radosław Sikorski on the European Union: it is better there

In the context of North Macedonia's efforts, the head of Polish diplomacy was asked about the Polish perspective of EU membership. – Two Slavic nations must speak English – Minister Sikorski laughed when a journalist from North Macedonia started asking him a question in English. Then he replied:

— The Polish experience of membership in the European Union is absolutely positive. There is life outside the EU, but it is better in the EU. Since Poland joined the EU, we are experiencing the best period in our history. The Polish Pope, John Paul II, supported our process of joining the EU, saying that Europe must breathe with two lungs: eastern and western – explained the head of Polish diplomacy.

Sikorski about the president's visit to Hungary. “There was no need”

After the joint conference with the head of Macedonian diplomacy, Sikorski answered questions about Polish foreign affairs. — The visit to Budapest was unusual from the beginning, because the president's partner is the president of Hungary. There was no need for him to make a pilgrimage to a person of lower rank, i.e. the Prime Minister of Hungary. It can be assumed that the purpose of the visit was to support Prime Minister Orban in his election campaign. There are no other effects for Poland. The president did not bring two fugitives from Budapest who were hiding from the Polish justice system in Hungary. This visit harmed Polish foreign policy, Sikorski said.
