Night of fire in Kiev: A Russian attack with drones caused fires and power feathers in the capital of Ukraine. Several people were injured

A major attack of the Russian forces on the Kiev Center caused a fire in a multi-storey residential building and targeted energy objectives on Friday morning, interrupting the power supply in some parts of the capital, officials said.

The Mayor of Kiev, Vitali Kliciko, said nine people were injured, five of them being transported to the hospital. He mentioned that current feathers and water supply interruptions affected the neighborhoods on the east bank of the Nipru River, which crosses the city, according to Reuters.

Posts posted online showed flame apartments, while firefighters intervened on the spot. Fragments from downed drones also hit several areas of the city.

Energy Minister Svitlana Grynciuk said that Russian forces had hit energy installations.
“Energy specialists take all the necessary measures to minimize the negative consequences”Grynciuk wrote on Facebook.

Russian forces have focused on Ukraine's energy infrastructure in recent weeks.

A massive rocket and drone attack last week hit several of the main gas production facilities in Ukraine, causing considerable damage.

Tkacenko lands, the head of the Kiev Military Administration, said that both drones and missiles were used in the attack launched after midnight on the capital.

Tkacenko said the firefighters managed to extinguish a fire caused by a drone, which included the apartments on the 6 and 7 floors of a multi -storey block in the Pecherski Central District.

In the city of Zaporojie, from southeast of Ukraine, several targets were hit by drones, hurting three people and triggering at least one fire in a home, according to the regional governor.
