Patrushew junior bought shares in Cross Technologies. The company, whose business expanded rapidly after the start of the war, deals with integration in the field of IT security (e.g. protects the monitoring system in the capital's metro), has an FSB license and publicly shares its knowledge about the purchase of censorship equipment on the Internet. Patrushew is the second son of a high-ranking secret service officer who entered the business earning, among others, thanks FSB.
According to the RBC business website, Patrushev bought from 20 to 30 percent. shares in the company. The total value of the company is estimated at 5-7 billion rubles, so a share of 20-30 percent. may be worth 1-2 billion rubles (PLN 40-80 million).
What is known about the company
Cross Technologies has been operating since 2011 and its clients include large state institutions and state-related companies, including the Federation Council, Gazprombank, VTB, and Sberbank. In the Moscow metro, the company implemented security for the visual identification system.
The company operates on the market for the supply of special equipment for Internet censorship. It supplies, among others: banks software that provides Russian secret services with access to customer data. In the ranking of “The largest providers of infrastructure protection solutions 2024” by the economic website CNews, Cross took 13th place.

Currently, Patrushew junior has shares in, among others, at the Arkhangelsk Commercial Seaport and at the Taels investment company.
This is not the first representative of the families of high-ranking secret service officers to make money from the surveillance and censorship systems supervised by the FSB. A few days ago, investigative journalist Andrei Zakharov determined that 29-year-old Boris Korolev, son of deputy director of the FSB Sergei Korolev, will become the first deputy general director of IKS Holdin in 2023. Korolev junior may also be a co-owner of the holding.
