Dmitry Pieskov tried to convince that “President Putin does everything possible to solve the problem, achieve a peace agreement and diplomatic methods.”
– We cannot allow NATO military infrastructure to be so close to our borders – continued the Kremlin spokesman. He also emphasized that Russia does not accept the presence of European peace forces in Ukraine. “No, we can't accept them,” he said in an interview with ABC.
Pieskow also claimed that “Ukraine tried to avoid negotiations” on the agreement and that it was the Russian authorities who emphasized the readiness for such conversations.
