In almost an hour's conversation, Wołodymyr Zełenski also assessed, among others, that “in current conditions it is impossible for Putin to win this war”, unless the West completely stops support for Kiev. – Putin can only win if it is a very long, many years of war and if there is no sanctions – emphasized the Ukrainian president and pointed out that without American support, losses on the Ukrainian side would increase significantly.
– Donald Trump thinks what he also said in public that Russia would win a war with Ukraine. (…) This is not a victory, however, when you lose a million (lives) human to get several thousand kilometers of territory – said Wołodymyr Zelnski.
The President of Ukraine also stated that “he would like to believe in it” that his relations with the US president improved after the meeting in four eyes in April in the Vatican and regretted that there were not enough opportunities to contact Donald Trump. “Fifteen minutes in the Vatican, face to face, did more to build trust than meeting many people present in the oval office,” he admitted, referring to the quarrels of leaders in the White House in February.

In his head it is impossible to end this war without the defeat of Ukraine – he assessed.

– We came very close to the point where Russia can be forced to end or at least to stop the war. We feel it. (…) Putin does not want to end the war, but he can do it thanks to the pressure of partners – he concluded.
The US has redirected shells for Ukraine to the Middle East
On Wednesday, the American “Wall Street Journal” wrote that the US President's administration redirects the key fumes to rockets, originally intended for Ukraine, to American forces in the Middle East. “This step testifies to the decreasing involvement of the Pentagon in defense of Ukraine,” said the daily.
Proponents of the decision emphasize that the Pentagon has the opportunity to take such actions under the Act on extraordinary military expenditure adopted last year. Pro -Ukrainian members of the Congress claim, however, that Pentagon did not explain what effect this step will have for Ukrainian defense or whether the demand from the American army is urgent.
