Who will Ionuț Radu face in the “quarters” of the Europa League + Istvan Kovacs refereed the big surprise of the evening in the “eights”

The return of the last eight of the Europa League ended with a “thriller” at the Olimpico, directed from the center by the Romanian Istvan Kovacs. AS Roma were defeated by Bologna 3-4 after extra time and completed the night with 27 goals in European competition.
The Europa League “quarters” are:
Europa League semi-final pairing:
The quarter-final leg was scheduled for April 9, while the second leg was scheduled for April 15/16. The grand final of the Europa League will be on May 20, from 22:00 at Beşiktaş Park in Istanbul.
Qualification for Ionuț Radu: Celta Vigo beat Lyon 2-0, after the French stayed in the 9
Braga played Ferencvaros on Wednesday and beat the Hungarians 4-0, after the Hungarian champions had won 2-0 in the first round.
Celta Vigo with Ionuț Radu in goal managed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the competition. The Spaniards beat Lyon 2-0 in France. The hosts remained in 10 in the 19th minute. At the end of the game, Tagliafico was also eliminated (90+6). Rueda (61) and Jutgla (90+6) scored the qualification goals.
Ionuț Radu didn't have much to do because the Hexagon team didn't have the strength to attack. It was saved by the crossbar in the 14th minute of the game when Yaremchuk's shot hit the right post.
Nottingham Forest struggled against Midtjylland but managed to get past the Danes on penalties. Midtjylland missed all three penalty kicks and the English had 100%.
Porto got past Stuttgart without problems. After the victory in the round, the Lusitanians managed to impose themselves in return with a convincing 2-0. The goals were scored by William Gomes (21) and Froholdt (72). Thus, Portugal enters the “quarters” of European competitions with 3 teams: Sporting in the UCL, Braga and Porto in the Europa League.
Aston Villa didn't have any emotions either and won the “double” with Lille. After the 1-0 win in the round, goals from McGinn (54) and Bailey (86) settled the score on the return leg.
Betis paraded at home with Panathinaikos. The Greeks won the first leg, but the Spanish won 4-0 at home.
Istvan Kovacs was at the center of a “thriller”: AS Roma pushed Bologna into extra time, but Cambiaghi struck decisively
Istvan Kovacs was delegated to AS Roma – Bologna (3-4, after 1-1 in the round) and awarded two penalties, one for each team.
Bologna opened the scoring through Rowe in the 22nd minute, Ndicka equalized in the 32nd minute and then Istvan Kovacs awarded the first penalty. El Shaarawy committed an obvious foul in the box, but the “central” from Carei needed VAR. Bernardeschi scored from 11 meters in the 45+2 minute and set the halftime score.
Bologna started the second half better and scored once more through Castro in the 58th minute. AS Roma reduced the gap with a penalty in the 69th minute.
The Capitolines took control of the game and managed to send the match to extra time through Lorenzo Pellegrini. The first half of extra-time passed without any major chances, but in the second Cambiaghi scored in the 111th minute at the end of a perfect counter-attack and secured Bologna's qualification for the next phase of the competition.

WEDNESDAY:
Braga – Ferencvaros 4-0 (4-2 overall) » Lusitanian “Blitzkrieg”: the Hungarians lasted only 11 minutes
Ferencvaros' defense gave way again after just four minutes. Grillitsch sent a violent shot from distance, the ball was deflected fortunately and entered the net of the opponent's goal, restoring equality on aggregate.
By the break, qualification was already in the home team's pocket: in the 34th minute, Martinez scored decisively, making the score 3-0 and leaving the Hungarians without a reply.
The second half was a mere formality for Carlos Vicens' students. Ricardo Horta managed the “double” in the 53rd minute. With an overall score of 4-2, Braga controlled the rest of the game.
Braga becomes the first team to secure their place in the “quarters”. For a place in the semi-finals, the Portuguese will face the winner of the duel between Betis Sevilla and Panathinaikos, with the other seven games in this phase to be played on Thursday evening.

Although Thursday is the traditional day of the Europa League, UEFA moved Braga's second leg of the competition's “round of 16” against Ferencvaros to Wednesday
-
Article 24.02 of the UEFA competition regulations provides: “If two or more clubs from the same city, located within 50 km of each other and/or playing in the same stadium, participate in any UEFA competition… the UEFA administration may change the dates and kick-off times in accordance with the principles defined by the Club Competitions Committee.”
-
In short, policing and security requirements dictate that two clubs in close proximity cannot host European matches at the same time. Although Braga is a separate entity, Porto is only 53 kilometers away. With the Dragons also playing the return leg against Stuttgart at home, a clash of schedules was inevitable.
