

“Responsibility can be shifted to thermal generation, which suffered the most from shelling this winter. In addition, to solar and wind energy – those energy sectors that are now the source of construction of gigawatts of new energy capacity,” Omelchenko wrote.
He noted that the proposed procedure for applying restrictions will slow down the restoration of thermal power plants and the construction of new solar and wind power plants in Ukraine.
“On the other hand, the introduction of such changes is seen as a violation of the principles of healthy competition. And the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine can pay attention to this issue. It is necessary to fight the causes of the problems, and not the consequences,” the expert added.
