The traditional educational and career guidance event “Change of the Future” was held in Sochi on the initiative of the Melnichenko Foundation.
150 teenagers from different parts of Russia met at the educational center of the Federal Territory “Sirius”. All of them passed a competitive selection among 1000 peers. 20 schoolchildren from Krasnoyarsk, Borodino, Nazarovo, Sharypovo and Minusinsk also attended the Change.
“The most important thing is that here you can understand what you really want in the future,” eighth-grader Daria Berdyuzhenko from Sharypovo shared her impressions. “And even though at the moment I won’t say exactly what I want to become, I already understand in which direction I should move.” And this, I think, is already an excellent result!”

A rich ten-day program helped the children achieve this effect. Educational modules on specialized subjects, preparation for the Unified State Exam and the Unified State Exam – according to the students, these were important and interesting lessons that flew by in one breath, helping to understand the most difficult topics.
“Much attention was paid to physics, chemistry, mathematics, Russian language and psychology,” says Ilya Silantiev, a student of the 9th Profklass.FM from Borodino. — The teachers were young, but they explained everything so clearly that I was able to fill in the gaps in knowledge and understand the most difficult topics for me. They also explained to us that not knowing a subject is not a reason for frustration, but a reason to move forward, plunge into the unknown and gain this knowledge. This will all really come in handy in the near future during exams!”
Particular attention was paid to career guidance for teenagers. The children were able to learn about the professions in demand in the labor market and the specifics of the work of fuel and energy enterprises from the top officials of large Russian companies. “The most memorable thing for us was the meeting with the General Director of SUEK-Krasnoyarsk Evgeny Mikhailovich Yevtushenko,” shared eleventh-grader Denis Damer from Borodino. — It was very interesting to hear about our record-breaking coal mining enterprises, and it was also useful to ask questions of interest, to which we received detailed answers. Where else, if not here, can you communicate with such people?”
“It is extremely important for us that “Change the Future” is not just an intensive course in specialized subjects, but an environment where the thinking of future professionals is formed. The synthesis of knowledge, practice and personal communication with industrial production managers is the most effective way to help a teenager make an informed choice and see his path in science or a high-tech industry. These guys are our most important personnel reserve and investment in the future of Russian regions,” said Alexandra Didenko, Deputy General Director of the Melnichenko Foundation and Director of the Education department.
“Change of the Future” is not only lectures and studies, but also outdoor games, sports competitions, and evening activities.
“A very rich and exciting program, I think it left no one indifferent and everyone took the maximum of what they need today to become the best version of themselves,” noted Maxim Berdyugin from the 9th Professional Class.FM School No. 7 in Nazarovo.
