“Steel Front” handed over SUVs to the drones of the “Khortitsa” brigade

The pilots of the brigade demonstrated a flight with a heavy bomber drone “Kazhan”, the material says. The hexacopter can carry about 15 kg of cargo.

“Bombs are different: fragmentation, high-explosive and are used in accordance with the purpose of destruction. The biggest target in my memory is a shelter, so to speak, at the tactical level. First, we conducted reconnaissance with a fiber-optic FPV. We found an enemy warehouse of ammunition, weapons, generators, Starlink, and it was decided to dismantle this shelter. We flew all night and completely dismantled that barn, neutralizing the enemy,” said the 23rd UAV pilot a separate brigade of the NSU “Khortitsa” against the pseudo Yakuza.

He noted that he has been piloting various UAVs for about two years. During this time, he has more than 300 confirmed target kills.

According to the drone guards, the key to successful defeats is the skill of the crew and mobility. The crew recently lost a vehicle to an enemy FPV drone, so the need for automotive technology on the front lines remains constant.

“We received the vehicles as part of the Steel Front initiative from Metinvest. They will be very useful in our company of unmanned aerial systems, because we constantly need to carry out logistics, bring crews to positions, bring in drones, ammunition, so each vehicle is very important at the front,” Yakuza said.

Context

“Steel Front” is a military initiative that consolidates the assistance of SCM businesses for the Ukrainian defense forces. As part of the project, Metinvest Group purchases machinery and equipment, and also produces critical products from its own steel: mobile steel shelters, mine trawls, protective screens for armored vehicles.
