A man wanted internationally and two women who had just committed shoplifting were caught by the Cluj policemen after the vehicle they were in ran a red light on a boulevard in Cluj-Napoca. In the car, the police found goods that they had stolen from a shopping center.

The policemen who on Saturday evening stopped a van whose driver ignored the red traffic light, on Nicolae Titulescu Boulevard in Cluj-Napoca, were surprised to find in the car a man wanted internationally and two women who had just committed several thefts and were carrying goods stolen from a shopping center, reports News.ro.
An international arrest warrant is issued for the 28-year-old man from Timiș County, and he is being taken to the police headquarters for further legal proceedings. Judicial sources stated for News.ro that he is suspected of crimes against patrimony.
After finding that there were new clothes and shoes in the car, an unreasonably large number of cosmetic products, some with an anti-theft security system, the police expanded their investigations and found that the goods came from thefts.
“From the investigations carried out so far, it emerged that, during the same day, two of the detected women, aged 32 and 34, from Mureş County, allegedly stole a lady's bag from a shopping center in Cluj-Napoca, the damage being estimated at approximately 1,500 lei. Also, shortly after, the two allegedly stole from another commercial company, from the same shopping center, several cosmetic products, some of which were provided with security systems. Following the administered probation, the police ordered the detention of the two women for 24 hours”, informed the Police officials.
On Sunday, the two women were released, being placed under judicial control for 60 days.
