Dinamo's coach, Zeljko Kopic48, explained that he had not considered leaving the “pack”. He spoke to the group's chairman and shareholders exclusively about his summer vacation, wanting to stretch it over two weeks!
Dinamo have seduced their own supporters this season, giving them hope that they can claim the title. In addition, the “pack” is also qualified for the semi-finals of the Romanian Cup, where they will face Craiova University on April 21/22.
The red-whites have collected three consecutive failures in the championship, and on Saturday evening, from 21:00, the play-off begins in Giulesti against Rapidului. A team that defeated Dinamo twice in the regular season.
Zeljko Kopic wants a two-week vacation in the summer. He explained why
Zeljko Kopic, 48, is the longest-serving coach in the play-offs, in office from December 1, 2023. The Croatian denied public talk earlier this week that he was preparing to part ways with Dinamo.
“Kopa” declared that he is not considering leaving the “dogs”. This is after Andrei Nicolescu, the president of the Bucharest team, said that no one from the management had the problem of parting with the technician.
“The only discussion I had was with the president Andrei Nicolescu and the shareholders (after the match with CFR Cluj). I told them that in my first summer here I had seven days of vacation.
The second year I had 10 days, this year I'm going to have at least two weeks, that's all I told them. Two weeks of vacation is my departure notice. In relation to the players, everyone who knows me knows that I don't usually talk in front of them.
If I want to say something, I only talk to the shareholders and the president. This kind of information (appearing in the public space) is irrelevant. If someone said something like that, they said it without responsibility. Which is not professional, but it's not the first time I've seen something like this. For me, it becomes a regular thing for my job”, replied Zeljko Kopic about the subject.
