Will Karol Nawrocki veto the SAFE Act? Government reveals plan B

The government's plenipotentiary for the SAFE program, Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka, on Tuesday evening on Polsat News, when asked what the government would do if President Karol Nawrocki vetoed the SAFE Act, said that “a plan B has been prepared.”
— The act itself (on EU SAFE – PAP), which is on the president's desk, is not about whether Poland can be part of the SAFE mechanism, but concerns several issues – said Sobkowiak-Czarnecka. The issues she mentioned include: protection of the budget of the Ministry of National Defense – so that the loan is not repaid from this budget, arranging how and in what order funds from the EU SAFE program can be implemented and what these funds will be spent on.
– Very heated discussions about plan B are still ongoing today, because the goal is clear – we want to make the most of the funds from this loan – she added,
When asked what exactly Plan B means, the government representative for the SAFE program replied that “it will involve transferring these funds (from the SAFE program – PAP) to the Armed Forces Support Fund.” — The Armed Forces Support Fund itself is not, to put it mildly, an ideal instrument, which is why this bill is intended to put everything in order, she emphasized.
