In Irkutsk, a 17-year-old boy beat and stabbed a man to death on International Women's Day. The news agency IrkutskMedia writes about this with reference to law enforcement agencies.
According to investigators, on the evening of March 8 in the Leninsky district, a conflict occurred between a group of four people aged 15 to 19 years and an unknown 28-year-old man. During the quarrel, the young man inflicted multiple punches and kicks on the victim’s head and body, and also stabbed him in the right leg.
“The victim died from his wound on the way to a medical facility in an ambulance,” the media reported.
A criminal case was initiated under Part 4 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in the death of the victim through negligence) The suspect was detained. It was established that he was repeatedly prosecuted for property crimes. The teenager was arrested for two months, until May 8, 2026.
The investigation is ongoing. The head of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, requested a report on the case. Investigators are now interrogating all participants in the conflict, establishing the role of each.
In addition, the prosecutor's office organized an inspection in connection with the incident, during which the issue of taking prosecutorial response measures in the field of preventing neglect and juvenile delinquency will be resolved.
