“Such is life.” Fitz explained his rhetoric to Zelensky against Ukraine

According to the Prime Minister of Slovakia, everyone has the right to protect national interests, and must “respect each other.”

“We could explain to each other some moments. We could also insist on our points of view,” Fito emphasized. “We have different points of view on some topics, but this is life, this happens in life.”

Slovak prime minister assured that, despite this, he and Zelensky have mutual respect for each other.

“I believe, as I respect and hear the president [Зеленского]the president respects and hears me […] Perhaps sometimes it doesn’t look like that in the media, but, as the prime minister of Slovakia, I want we have good friendly relations between our countries, ”Fito added.

Context

Fitz and Zelensky in December 2024 and January 2025 exchanged acute comments regarding each other. The reason was, in particular, the termination of the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine. Fit, as the prime minister of the country, who, after the refusal of most countries of the European Union, remained one of its largest buyers in the EU, threatened to stop the supply of electricity to Ukraine during a shortage of its energy system after Russian air attacks if Kyiv stops the transit of Russian gas to central Europe.

In addition, Slovakia is one of the two EU countries that buy Russian oil. In turn, Ukraine several times attacked the Druzhba oil pipeline in the aggressor country of the Russian Federation.

During a meeting with the illegitimate Russian President Vladimir Putin in China, a fifth reported on September 2 that he intends to ask Zelensky about the attacks of defense forces on Russia's energy facilities, which help to finance the war in Ukraine during their meeting in Uzhgorod. Fixie emphasized that “it is impossible for the infrastructure, vital for Slovakia, be attacked in this way.” Zelensky on September 5 stated at a press conference with Fitzo that Ukraine would respond to Russian blows to its energy facilities-“no one will endure in the dark.”

Fitzu previously stated that Ukraine should give in to Russia the territory it requires and abandon the path to NATO. He also said that Zelensky allegedly offered him € 500 million from Russian assets for the vote for Ukraine in NATO.
