– I think the president should sign it. If he has any questions or doubts, I am ready to explain everything – says Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk, Minister of Family, Labor and Social Policy, in an interview published on Wednesday in “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna” when asked about the amendment to the Act on the National Labor Inspectorate.

As Dziemianowicz-Bąk argues, a significant part of employees and trade unions support these changes, and the majority of Poles are waiting for the strengthening of PIP and an effective fight against garbage collection. He adds that the amendment provides for “gradual tools” – in addition to the administrative decision, there is also a tool to order the law to be brought into compliance. “We want to pursue pathologies, not punish them for minor oversights,” the minister emphasizes.
When asked how labor courts will be able to cope with new cases, since the reform provides for only 9 additional judge positions, Dziemianowicz-Bąk replies that the act introduces acceleration mechanisms: preliminary judgments, evidentiary exclusion and the possibility of closed hearings. However, the reconstruction of labor court departments will be crucial. This year, 13 units liquidated under Zbigniew Ziobro are to return.
When asked by “DGP” whether he expects President Nawrocki to sign the PIP reform, the minister replies that he does not know, but he should do it because “it concerns the safety of millions of employees, regardless of their party colors. Because voters of all parties have been pushed to garbage in their lives.” Dziemianowicz-Bąk declared that if the president had any questions about the amendment, she was “ready to explain everything.” (PAP)
