The end of 145 years of tradition? Inofama files for bankruptcy


For years, the company has specialized in the production of steel structures, agricultural machinery and hot-dip galvanizing services to protect against corrosion. On October 15, the management board announced that two applications had been submitted to the court in September: to open restructuring proceedings and to declare bankruptcy.

The court has appointed a supervisor and the property is being secured
In connection with the restructuring application, on September 18, 2025, the court appointed a Temporary Court Supervisor. Its task is to secure the company's assets until the application for the opening of restructuring is considered.
“The bankruptcy petition was filed solely as a preventive measure” – emphasized in the management board's announcement.
According to the law, if a restructuring application has been submitted in parallel, the court will decide suspends the examination of the bankruptcy application until the decision on restructuring is made. Inofama clearly declares that restructuring proceedings are the priority — sorting out liabilities and reaching an agreement with creditors.

The company announces its focus on the most profitable business lines, including steel structures and galvanizing services. The wnp.pl portal reminds that less than three years ago, with the support of the Industrial Development Agency (ARP) and the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone, Inofama launched a modern hot dip galvanizing plant in Inowrocław.
The local government appeals for state aid
The company's situation raises concerns among local authorities. The president of Inowrocław, Arkadiusz Fajok, emphasized that he cannot imagine closing down the plantwhich employs approximately 240 people. He pointed out that 15 percent shares in Inofam are held by the State Treasury through the Industrial Development Agency.
— I will appeal to the Prime Minister, the Minister of State Assets, the Minister of Finance, the President of the Industrial Development Agency and parliamentarians from our region. Inofama is a plant with over a hundred years of tradition that must survive and receive government support for its continued operation, said the president, quoted by ino.online.
