In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, police are investigating a complaint about fatal injuries to a dog.
Law enforcement officers said that on March 7, the duty station of the Shushensky Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia received a message from a resident of the village of Lytkino. The woman said that she was walking her dog near the cemetery and let the pet off its leash. After which an elderly man drove up to them in a car, pulled out a gun and shot the dog. As a result, the animal died.
Police quickly found and interrogated the shooter. A 68-year-old resident of the village of Lytkino said that he shot in the direction of the dog only to scare the animal away:
“According to the man, dogs had previously wandered onto the territory of his property, after whose visit he was short of animals that he kept on the farm,” explained the press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.
The weapon has now been seized. As part of the inspection, which is carried out in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, a veterinary examination was ordered.
A decision will be made later in accordance with the law.
