According to the balance presented on Saturday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, approximately 14,000 Romanian citizens affected by the conflict in the Middle East are under the attention of the Crisis Cell, of which over 1,500 have already been repatriated.

“As the security situation allows, we are organizing new actions to evacuate those in the affected areas. “That is why we are also working to increase the number of safe commercial flights through which citizens can return to the country. Starting next week, the authorities in the United Arab Emirates have confirmed to us the increase in the number of daily commercial flights to Bucharest, depending on the security conditions”, continued Bolojan.

At the same time, according to the prime minister, the decision was made to introduce “into the reservation systems requests for flight color at Dubai airport, for the companies that transported Romanian tourists through travel agencies”.
