“Some Europeans, like Spain, are terrible… We will stop all trade with Spain. We want nothing to do with Spain,” Trump said.
The US President called Spain “unfriendly”, adding that there are “wonderful people but no good leadership.” At the same time, he emphasized regarding the bases that the United States can use them if they want, “just fly in and use it.”
Trump also criticized Spain for opposing an increase in defense spending to 5% of GDP.
