The leaders of youth centers in Krasnoyarsk told Sergei Vereshchagin about their core areas of work and showed them key projects. The mayor's office reported that the presentation took place in the Pilot.
Currently, 10 youth centers are operating in the greater Krasnoyarsk region. Many projects regularly become winners of all-Russian competitions. Thus, in 2023, the City Head’s Labor Detachment was recognized as the best practice for employing minors among 101 projects from all over the country, and last year the participants of Post No. 1 took 2nd overall team place at the tenth All-Russian rally of movement activists in Nizhny Novgorod.
In order to further develop Krasnoyarsk and announce it to the whole country, young people are coming up with new large-scale projects, many of which will be implemented for the first time in Russia. Thus, the head of the city was presented with the idea of a new graffiti festival “Dawns”, which will be held in the regional capital this summer. Artists will paint four murals on the facades of houses, and city residents will become full participants in the creation of street art objects and creative performances.
The mayor also appreciated the idea of the volunteer community: the guys proposed creating an open eco-garden on the roof of one of the city’s buildings. The implementation of such a project will make it possible to conduct visual master classes and classes on the topic of ecology. Now we are searching for a suitable space where it is possible to ensure the safety of participants.
“I believe that one of our key tasks is to do everything so that young people love their city and associate the future with it. And it is the youth policy team that should be the main assistant in achieving this goal. More than 80 thousand citizens aged 18 to 35 are involved in the work that the guys do and their projects. Together with the young leaders, we set the task of launching a volunteer headquarters for the 400th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk,” noted Sergei Vereshchagin.
