A 19-year-old Krasnoyarsk resident hit children at a pedestrian crossing and lost his license for a year (video)

The Sverdlovsk District Court of Krasnoyarsk sentenced a 19-year-old driver who hit two children on a zebra crossing.
It all happened on October 2, 2025, when a young man in a Lada Vesta was driving along 60 Let Oktyabrya Street towards Zatonskaya Street. The guy ignored the red traffic light, he did not stop at the stop line and continued driving through the pedestrian crossing, as a result of which he hit two children who were crossing the road at that moment.
The minor pedestrians received injuries that were classified as minor injuries.
At the court hearing, the driver of the Lada Vesta fully admitted his guilt and asked not to deprive him of his license. But, despite repentance, he could not escape responsibility.
The court sentenced the young man to deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 1 year under Part 1 of Article 12.24 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules or operating rules of a vehicle, resulting in minor harm to the health of the victim).
