Anyone who regularly does laundry notices over time that the laundry can smell musty, and a gray coating appears inside the drum. These are powder residues, mineral salts and soft deposits from hard water. They not only spoil the freshness of things, but also make the machine work with unnecessary load.
But there is a simple and affordable solution. You will need table vinegar and baking soda. Pour half a glass of baking soda directly into the drum, and pour 100 ml of vinegar into the powder compartment. Run a short wash cycle at 60 degrees without any laundry. This procedure will gently dissolve deposits on the heating element, clean the drain channels and neutralize foreign odors.
Repeat this cleaning once every 1-2 months, and the machine will run quieter and your clothes will smell really clean. It is important not to mix vinegar with chlorine-containing products to avoid damaging rubber seals and internal parts.
