Severe weather warnings expired Thursday morning. The weather will gradually warm up starting today, at least until the middle of next week, with a spectacular increase in temperatures in the south and east of the country, where the thermal values will approach 13-14 degrees, especially during the day, with sun in most of the country and no precipitation, writes News.ro.
“We will benefit in the next period which could extend at least until the middle of next week, on the one hand, from weather without precipitation, on the other hand from an increase in temperature. Without precipitation, with a clearer sky, so sunny days in most of the territory in the following days, but also with increasing temperatures, in the first three-four days only during the day”, announced, on Thursday, the director of forecasts of the National Meteorological Administration, Florinela Georgescu.
According to her, there will be a “quite spectacular” increase in thermal values for the southern and eastern parts of the country, where it has been coldest recently.
“Today we expect maximums that will start from 1-2 degrees in the north of Moldova and reach 9 degrees in the southwestern part of the territory, after which, in the following days, the temperatures will increase by 3-4 degrees each day, in the eastern and southern parts, with a more timid increase in the western regions, but overall, from Sunday onwards, the maximums will exceed 10 degrees in most of the country, to they even reach 13-14 degrees, at least until the middle of the week,” Georgescu said.
The ANM director added that there will be no precipitation, at least until the middle of next week, when there will be “an episode with rain”, after which good weather and rising temperatures are announced again.
“For the time being, there will be three to four more nights with lower temperatures, it is possible that the next night will be even colder than the one that passed, because a clear sky still favors a drop in temperatures below 0 degrees throughout the country, in the following night to minus 10 – minus 11 degrees in depression areas. So the temperature increase during the nights will be more modest, but the days will be more and more beautiful and with increasing temperatures”, he added Georgescu.
