Former US President Joe Biden is radiotherapy to treat prostate cancer with which he was diagnosed in May this year, a white leader from the White House on Saturday, Reuters reports.
“As part of the treatment plan for prostate cancer, President Biden is currently radiotherapy and receives hormonal treatment,” the spokesman said.
Joe Biden, who turns 83 next month, underwent September a procedure known as Mohs surgery, used to remove cancer cells from the skin.
The former democratic president revealed in May that he was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer.
His communication team said that this type of cancer is aggressive, but sensitive to hormones, which means that there is a probability that the disease responds to treatment.
