The ringless appearance of Usha Vance, the wife of US Vice President JD Vance, at a military base in North Carolina has sparked rumors of her marriage to the US Vice President. But a spokesperson for the vice president clarified things, reports People magazine, quoted by News.ro.
Usha Vance, 39, visited Camp Lejeune, a military base in Jacksonville, North Carolina, on Wednesday, November 19, with first lady Melania Trump.
Usha did not wear a wedding ring during the public appearance, and this did not go unnoticed. After the publication of the photos from the exit, rumors about problems in her marriage with the American vice president gained momentum on social networks.
In the midst of speculation, a spokesperson for the vice-president, who is very discreet and rarely speaks to the press, addressed the subject of the appearance without the wedding ring.
The spokesperson said that Usha is “a mother of three young children who washes a lot of dishes, takes a lot of baths and sometimes forgets her wedding ring”.
Usha and JD have been married since 2014 and have three children: sons Ewan, 8, and Vivek, 5, and daughter Mirabel, 3.
US Vice President JD Vance has drawn criticism in India after publicly expressing his hope that his wife Usha, who was raised in the Hindu religion, would convert to Christianity.
