People around Biden are concerned about his health and told the media “sensitive details”

They said that the ex-president continues to work on his memoirs, develops his foundation and presidential library, and attends dinners and meetings of the board of directors. It is emphasized that for days he was seen on a train heading from Washington to Delaware – Biden was photographed with passengers.

The article notes that four people from the ex-president's entourage, including two former Biden administration officials and one representative of the Democratic Party, on condition of anonymity told the editors “sensitive details” about his health – they noted that in the last few weeks in private conversations Biden seemed more tired than usual, which caused them concern.

Another source said Biden remains active and involved in the community and remains “encouraged and optimistic about his prognosis given his positive response to treatment.”

Representatives from Biden's personal office declined to comment to the editors on this matter.

Context

Biden served as US President from 2021 to 2025. He became the oldest sitting US president – when he left office, he was 82 years old. Biden planned to run for a second term, but then announced his withdrawal from the election campaign.

In May 2025, Biden's press service reported that the policy diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer with bone metastases. Former White House doctor, member of the US House of Representatives Ronny Jackson suggested that Biden could live with this diagnosis for another 12 to 18 months. Biden has already started treatment.
