The teams ranked in the TOP 8 in the league phase, considered the series leaders, were grouped in pairs according to the positions occupied in the league phase (1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 5th and 6th, 7th and 8th) and subsequently assigned to one of two positions available on the table.
