
“We ourselves need renewal, political life and renewal of the country… Elections are a risk, I admit. But failure to hold elections in conditions of a protracted war is an even greater risk,” he said.
According to the former head of the Foreign Ministry, the next president of Ukraine will be the current head of state, Vladimir Zelensky.
“He copes with this role… He needs to be given credit: he knows his role and fulfills it. And parliamentary elections are needed precisely in order to restore the constitutional balance in the country, so that there is a normal coalition, so that people come – veterans, volunteers, fresh young politicians, so that they take on part of the responsibility for the country… So that the president focuses on what is assigned to him by the Constitution – on defense and foreign policy,” Kuleba concluded.
