MTS PJSC and Cian agreed on strategic cooperation in the field of combating telephone fraud (anti-fraud).
A corresponding agreement aimed at reducing the number of unwanted and fraudulent calls to Cyana users was signed at the XXIX St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in St. Petersburg. The partnership will use MTS's technological capabilities to protect platform users from annoying and potentially dangerous calls.
As part of the agreements, MTS provides Cian with a set of solutions based on MTS Scoring Big Data technologies to protect customers from spam calls. The unwanted category includes untargeted calls from virtual, disposable or spoof numbers.
Each incoming call to a platform user is checked against these criteria in real time, and depending on the scoring score received, the system decides to let the call through or block it.
“MTS anti-fraud models analyze tens of millions of calls every day, identifying numbers with anomalous behavior. Partnership with Cyan in the fight against fraudsters is an example of how the telecommunications company’s technologies protect customers of leading digital services,” commented Oleg Aldoshin, vice president for corporate business at MTS.
“Users who post ads for sale or look for an apartment often encounter a wave of unwanted calls. The partnership will allow us to effectively combat telephone fraud and strengthen trust in digital platforms,” said Dmitry Grigoriev, CEO of Tsyan.
