Almost 900 parrots were brought to Krasnoyarsk from Kyrgyzstan for an entrepreneur

870 parrots were brought to Krasnoyarsk from Kyrgyzstan. This was reported by the press service of Rosselkhoznadzor for the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Department specialists at the checkpoint at the Krasnoyarsk airport carried out veterinary control of budgerigars, cockatiels, and lovebirds.
“The parrots were imported by air from the village of Kashkar-Kyshtak in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. Ornamental poultry was transported in compliance with the veterinary and sanitary requirements of the Russian Federation and the Customs Union. The cargo is intended for an individual entrepreneur engaged in breeding and keeping ornamental birds in Krasnoyarsk,” the regional Rosselkhoznadzor clarified.
Currently, the parrots are placed in a specially prepared room for quarantine. During the quarantine period, specialists will carry out all necessary diagnostic tests and preventive measures.

Let us add that this is the second batch of parrots imported to Krasnoyarsk from Kyrgyzstan this year. In total, since the beginning of 2026, Krasnoyarsk received 1,738 heads of ornamental birds from the Republic of Kyrgyzstan.
