“A bunch of kids went to the hospital.” An explosion occurred in the Dnieper Lyceum during lessons

According to preliminary information, during the demonstration of “demonstrative ammunition” to students, one of them detonated. There was an explosion and smoke.

Two children were injured and police say they suffered minor injuries.

Law enforcement officers determine the legal qualifications of the incident for opening criminal proceedings.

“Suspilne Dnipro” writes that the explosion occurred in one of the city lyceums, and publishes a photo of it, without giving the number. According to the student’s mother, Anna, the detonation occurred during an alarm and the children were studying in shelters.

“The child thought that there was an arrival, plaster fell down. A bunch of children went with their parents to the hospital because their ears hurt. As I understand it, they showed some kind of weapon. There was a lesson, and something went wrong. At that time there was an alarm, everyone was in shelter in the basement, the high school students were having a lesson. My son was further behind two walls, he heard the explosion, but was not injured,” the woman said.

She added: now, together with other parents, she is trying to figure out how classes will be held on February 24. The format of training may be changed.
