

The decision was made in accordance with the law “On the legal regime of martial law.”
According to the decree, the following military administrations appeared in the region:
- Mariupol city;
- Kalchitskaya rural Mariupol district;
- Mangushskaya village of Mariupol district;
- Nikolskaya settlement of the Mariupol district;
- Starolinovskaya rural Volnovakh district;
- Khlebodarovskaya rural Volnovakh district.
In addition, Zelensky instructed to create the following military administrations of the Donetsk region on the basis of former military-civil administrations:
- Volnovakh city;
- Mirnenskaya village of Volnovakh district;
- Olginskaya village of Volnovakha district;
- Sartan village of Mariupolsky district.
In separate orders, the president appointed:
- Nadezhda Serdyukov – the head of the Mirnenskaya village military administration;
- Artem Efimenko – the head of the Olginskaya village military administration;
- Alena Levterov – the head of the Starolinovsky rural military administration;
- Alexandra Kurkchi – the head of the Sartan village military administration;
- Natalia Vorobyov – the head of the Mangushskaya village of the military administration (before that, Vorobyov was fired from the post of head of the Mariupol district state administration);
- Vladimir Matyash – the head of the Kalchitsky rural military administration;
- Mikhail Burnadze – the head of the Khleboodarovsky rural military administration;
- Vladimir Khalabuzar – the head of the Nikolsk village military administration.
Context
The Russian invaders captured part of the Donetsk region, including the regional center in 2014.
After the start of a full -scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the Russians captured another part of the region, in particular, Volnovakha and Mariupol.
