If you're tired of cloudy mirrors, rainbow spots on the windows or white residue in the shower stall, this life hack is definitely for you. The constant struggle with stains and limescale seems endless, especially after hard water. But there is a simple solution that will return glass transparency without expensive sprays and microfiber cloths.
What you need:
1 glass of warm water
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1 tablespoon isopropyl alcohol or vodka
5 drops of liquid soap
optional – 2-3 drops of citrus essential oil for freshness
Mix all ingredients in a spray bottle or bowl. Apply the solution to a glass surface: mirror, window, shower wall. Wipe with a soft sponge or microfiber cloth in a circular motion. Do not rinse with water, just let dry or gently wipe dry with a clean cloth.
Vinegar dissolves limescale, alcohol speeds up drying and prevents streaks, and soap removes grease from fingers and steam. As a result, you get perfectly clean, transparent glass without rainbow spots or haze.
Your mirror will then reflect light as if it had just been installed.
