After the Minister of Health Rogobete panicked people on Facebook by announcing the mobilization of 6 hospitals for a plane that returned to Otopeni, we can announce that Rogobete will no longer be a minister. And that we will all die. Not now, at some point

In an act by which he wanted to signal that he was working, Alexandru Rogobete, the Minister of Health, announced Sunday evening on Facebook that he “involved” 6 hospitals “to prevent a critical situation” in the case of a HiSky company plane, which announced that it was returning to Bucharest. The announcement panicked, due to its bizarreness and coming from someone who does not discuss aviation situations, but is responsible for medical care at the level of Romania.

A plane of the HiSky company, on the route Bucharest – Hurghada (Egypt), reported technical problems, and the pilot of the aircraft decided to return to “Henri Coandă” International Airport. There were 180 passengers and 6 crew members on board.

How Alexandru Rogobete scared everyone

Alexandru Rogobete, the Minister of Health, announced on Facebook that the plane had problems and then also posted on Facebook, with a red exclamation mark before it: “To prevent a critical situation and to ensure, if the situation requires it, a quick and efficient coordination, we have convened a crisis cell with the main emergency hospitals in Bucharest at the Ministry of Health.” He nominated the hospitals.

People are not used to contacting the Ministry of Health in the case of an airplane. They are not used to it, because this does not happen in Europe or in the world. But because it happened, the news immediately gained momentum: “If it wasn't serious, the minister wouldn't have said that he mobilized 6 hospitals.” Do you realize what was in the hearts of the families of the 186 people on the plane?

A sensor does not necessarily mean a depressurization

On the ground, bereft of information, everyone interpreted as they could. But only Alexandru Robogete started to post on Facebook.

In the official press release of the “Henri Coandă” airport, it was stated that the pilot “signaled the activation of a cabin pressurization sensor”. A sensor does not necessarily mean a depressurization. It could be a faulty sensor. There were no dates. There was no way it could exist. That's why, throughout the civilized world, officials don't talk in real time. According to the sensors, the USA attacked the Soviet Union with nuclear missiles in 1983. Luckily it was not Alexandru Rogobete's turn, but Stanislav Petrov, a Russian engineer who realized that it might be a false alarm. It was a false alarm.

“The aircraft landed safely and no medical intervention is required!”

In the case of the HiSky plane, with 186 people on board, Raed Arafat intervened at Digi, after the head of the DSU realized that things were going crazy. Arafat said he did not expect any problems with the landing. And he explained that he did not intervene precisely so as not to panic. Let's say that the Minister of Health himself intervened before.

Much more informed, the Boarding Pass website had stated that the pilots had descended to 10,000 feet to avoid any problems related to possible depressurization.

The plane landed safely. Tireless, Alexandru Rogobete wrote on Facebook: “UP-date: The aircraft landed safely and no medical intervention is required!”.

Good thing it landed. But with the last part, that “medical intervention is not necessary!”, we do not necessarily agree. Maybe a specialist intervention is needed. At the Ministry of Health.

No responsible Minister of Health scares people by plunging into an area he does not master, in the absence of full information, just to signal that he is working.

At the end of this new episode of the “show society”, promoted by social networks, some conclusions can be drawn: at some point, Alexandru Rogobete will no longer be a dignitary of the Romanian state. And we will all die, because people die. It's true, alert the 6 hospitals, you can put it on Facebook, Minister.
