MTS announced the implementation of a large-scale expansion of the 4G network in the region. During 2024-2025, the company launched more than 350 LTE base stations. The increase in coverage was more than 10%, and over the past five years it has exceeded 25%.

The work affected more than 280 settlements in the region. Over 400 thousand residents experienced improved communication quality and increased mobile Internet speed. In some settlements, cellular communications appeared for the first time – for example, in the remote village of Kytat, Achinsk District, where just over 400 people live.

The largest number of new base stations were launched in Uzhursky, Sharypovsky, Minusinsky, Kansky and Nazarovsky districts – a total of more than 80 towers. Equipment modernization took place in Lesosibirsk, Kansk, Yeniseisk, Uzhur, Sharypovo, Zelenogorsk and Minusinsk. In addition, communication has appeared on popular routes: “Yenisei Tract”, “Boguchany-Kodinsk”, “Achinsk-Uzhur-Troitskoye”, “Minusinsk-Bellyk” and others. Now car travelers will be able to use a navigator and stay connected on the road.

“Over the past year, our signalmen launched more cellular communication sites than in the last three years combined – this is a colossal job, taking into account the difficult geography of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Our construction and modernization covered almost all districts of the region. Thus, by the end of the year, 98% of residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory were able to use 4G communications from MTS,” said Sergey Yegoshin, director of MTS in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

He added that the company did not ignore tourist destinations: the coverage was improved in the vicinity of the Krasnoyarsk and Tubinsk reservoirs, on the beaches of the Big Lake and Lake Uchum, near the Badzheyskaya and Bolshaya Oreshnaya caves, at the eastern entrance to the Krasnoyarsk Pillars national park and in the Ergaki natural park.
