A new attempt to kidnap children in a supermarket in Italy. A man tried to take a 5-year-old boy: “This is not your son, give him to me!”
A shocking case of attempted kidnapping, almost identical to the one that happened recently in Bergamo, occurred in Caivano. A 45-year-old man was arrested after he tried to kidnap a 5-year-old boy from a supermarket. The quick reaction of the child's mother and the intervention of a store employee prevented the tragedy.

The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon, February 17, in a supermarket. The carabinieri were urgently called to the scene.
According to investigators, the man, originally from Ghana, was in a visibly agitated state and approached two women who were preparing to leave the store with their children, aged 5 and 8, reports the Italian publication Fanpage.
At one point, he allegedly shouted to the mother of the 5-year-old boy: “This is not your son, give him to me!”, then he tried to grab the child.
Frightened, the child shouted “Mommy!”and the woman immediately pulled him behind her. However, the aggressor did not give up and continued to try to get hold of the child, including inside the store.
The situation was stopped when a supermarket cashier intervened between the mother, child and man. Amid shouts from customers, the individual gave up and ran away.
Shortly after, the child's father arrived at the supermarket, and the mother, in a state of shock, took refuge in the car. Later, she narrated the incident to the authorities, in tears, after the carabinieri arrived at the family home.
The investigators reconstructed the entire scene with the help of the images captured by the surveillance cameras.
The man, who had a criminal record, was found near the store and arrested for attempted kidnapping.

A homeless Romanian man tried to kidnap a one-and-a-half-year-old girl, suddenly yanking her from her mother's hand and breaking her leg. The aggressor grabbed the little girl while the family was leaving the store, but was unable to pull her from the mother's arms. The girl's father immediately intervened to immobilize the attacker.
