The road at the entrance to the Câmpina municipality, from the DN1 and the Cornu town, is affected by a recent landslide. In the meantime, the situation worsened, after the embankment of the road broke, which led the authorities to impose emergency measures for traffic safety.
Access was restricted on one side of the road, and heavy traffic was limited by introducing tonnage restrictions, writes the Prahova newspaper.
The local authorities have announced that they will request support at the central level for the interventions necessary to stabilize the area and restore the affected infrastructure.
Câmpina City Hall says that the problem is an older one, and only during the year 2025 five official addresses were sent to the competent institutions, by which the remedy of the situation was requested.
At the end of last year, two other landslides occurred on DN1 in the localities of Comarnic and Cornu, being the third such situation recorded in the area in a relatively short period of time,
