In Sosnovoborsk, an attempt to give a bribe to an employee of medical correctional institution No. 37 was prevented. This was reported by the press service of the regional GUFSIN.

A man convicted of fraud wanted to get a positive reference in order to apply for parole. To do this, he offered the head of the detachment 50 thousand rubles. However, the internal service major refused the money and reported the corrupt proposal to the leadership of the GUFSIN.
A criminal case was opened against the convicted person under Part 3 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (giving a bribe to an official for committing obviously illegal actions). The maximum penalty under this article is up to eight years in prison.
The head of the detachment, who showed integrity, was thanked and documents for a bonus are being prepared.
