In the Republic of Khakassia, the court considered a case of compensation for moral damage to a child who was bitten by a dog. This was reported to Sledkom.
It all happened on March 3, 2025 in the village of Shira. An 8-year-old girl was walking through Yunost Park on 50 Let Komsomol Street when she was attacked by a pack of eight dogs. The animals ran out of a private home, threw the schoolgirl to the ground, and bit her arms, legs, head and neck. As a result of the incident, the child's health was seriously harmed.
A criminal case was opened against the owner of the dogs under Part 1 of Art. 118 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing grievous bodily harm through negligence). Law enforcement officers found out that the woman knew that her pets showed aggression towards people, but despite this she sent them for a walk without muzzles.
The court found the owner of the dogs guilty and sentenced her to a fine, and also ordered compensation for moral damages from the woman in favor of the minor victim in the amount of 500 thousand rubles.
