The Department of Justice has informed Congress that it has released all files relating to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. This is required by the act obliging the ministry to provide all previously undisclosed documents in the form of a digital database.

The letter sent to Capitol Hill contains the names of more than 300 “politically exposed persons” who appear in Epstein's files, including: former presidents, top government officials, influential businessmen and world stars.
According to UPI, Attorney General Pam Bondi and her deputy notified the chairmen of the House and Senate Judiciary Committees of the completion of the review and the release of investigative documents, communications and materials. The correspondence also contains a list of all officials and public figures included in the collected documentation.
In December, the Congress adopted the so-called Epstein Records Transparency Act. It requires the Department of Justice to publish all classified materials in a format that allows them to be easily searched and downloaded. Although the deadline passed on December 19, the ministry made the documents available only in January.
Ultimately, this was done as a one-off publication of the database. Despite preparations for publication, it had numerous errors and was insufficiently anonymized, which is why it initially contained, among others: names of Epstein's victims.
As UPI reminds, the correspondence to Congress was sent a few days after Pam Bondi's heated questioning by members of both parties. The document includes “all persons” whose names appear in the case file at least once, regardless of the nature of their relationship with the financier.
These names appear in materials in very different contexts – from business to social contacts. The people mentioned included: Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Donald Trump, Bill Clinton and the British Prince Andrew). The list also includes Beyoncé, Bill Cosby, Fidel Castro, Bruce Springsteen, Alyssa Milano, Diana Ross and Ben Shapiro, as well as numerous politicians and entrepreneurs and their spouses.
