The net result of the banking sector up by nearly 20 percent in the first half of the year

The net profit of the banking sector in January-June 2025 amounted to PLN 23.3 billion, i.e. increased by 18.2 percent. RDR – informed the National Bank of Poland.

Interest revenues after June 2025 increased by about 6.53 percent. to approx. PLN 88.91 billion, and interest costs increased by approx. 6.06 percent. up to approx. PLN 34.32 billion.

Revenues from fees and commissions amounted to approx. PLN 13.24 billion and are higher by 2.25 percent. yard, and the costs in this respect increased by 3.82 percent.

Total net operational revenues after June 2025 amounted to approx. PLN 69.75 billion, which means an increase of 10.27 percent. year on year.

Administrative costs were at the level of approx. PLN 27.74 billion, i.e. by 9.6 percent. higher than last year.

Depreciation amounted to approx. PLN 2.75 billion, growing by 5.49 percent.

Write -offs (loss of value or reversal of loss of value from financial assets not calculated according to fair value with the effect of the valuation related to the profit and loss account) amounted to PLN 2.58 billion, falling by PLN 10.56 percent.

Reserve position or reversal of reserves amounted to PLN 4.75 billion compared to approx. PLN 5.31 billion a year earlier, less by 10.6 percent (PAP Biznes)
