The suspect interviewed by the police in Dolj in the case of the man from Vela commune who was found dead in his home was detained for aggravated murder and aggravated robbery. The investigators established that he entered the yard of the victim's house and hit her with an axe, after which he stole 4,000 lei from her and ran away.

The representatives of the Dolj County Police Inspectorate made, on Sunday, clarifications in the case of the 56-year-old man from Vela commune found dead in the house, News writes.
“In the continuation of the complex investigative-operative and research activities carried out by the team made up of policemen of the Criminal Investigation Service, coordinated by the criminal prosecutor from the Public Prosecutor's Office attached to the Dolj Court, accompanied by a forensic doctor from IML Craiova, it was established that in the evening of February 13 this year, the 39-year-old man would have entered the yard of the 56-year-old man from Vela commune and inflicted several blows with a cutting-splitting object, an action that led to the death of the 56-year-old man, later stealing 4,000 lei from him and leaving the house“, the quoted source said.
As a result, the 39-year-old man was detained for aggravated murder and aggravated robbery, and was taken to the Detention and Preventive Arrest Center of the Dolj County Police Inspectorate.
On Sunday, he will be presented to the Dolj Court with the proposal to take a preventive measure.
Neighbors and acquaintances of the victim said the man was a respected, hard-working and upright man with no known conflicts, and the news of his death sent shockwaves through the community.
