Ukrainian singer Ruslana, who was a member of the national selection jury, provoked a scandal by calling on viewers to vote for Leleka, at the same time she advised the singer Laud, who took second place, “not to bring the company” into the national selection.
“Suspilne” stated that agitation by a jury member for one of the national selection finalists is not a violation of the rules. Ruslana herself admitted that she did this because I am absolutely confident in the artist.
According to Miroshnichenko, the jury should not influence the opinion of the audience.
“I think this is unacceptable. I am a supporter of the fact that the jury’s comments can only be made after the entire voting is completed, so as not to influence it,” said the permanent leader of the national selection.
He emphasized that the national selection is not a talent show, where judges can evaluate the participant’s performance after each performance.
