Donald Trump presses on a truce in the Gaza Strip. Israel and Hamas answer

Trump announced on Tuesday that Israel agreed to the conditions necessary to finalize the 60-day suspension of the weapon, during which the permanent end of the war is to be negotiated. Hamas warned at the same time that this was a “final” proposal, and the terms of the agreement will only deteriorate over time.
Hamas “seriously approaches” the agreement and is “ready to accept any initiative that clearly leads to the complete end of the war,” said the official of this organization Taher al-Nunna, quoted by the AP agency.
In the later statement of the group, it was noted that Hamas received from the mediators the latest proposal of the contract and conducts talks with them to “overcome the differences” before returning to negotiations.
Israel responds to Trump's proposal. “Positive signs”
The head of Israeli diplomacy Gideon Saar said on Wednesday that his country “seriously approaches the issue of the contract”, which appeared “positive signs”. Israel wants to start talks as soon as possible – he emphasized.
According to the media, the proposal presented by Trump assumes a 60-day truce, during which about half of Israeli hostages would be released in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners. Other Israelis would be released after negotiating a permanent truce. Hamas has long been demanding that the contract from the beginning assumes the perspective of a lasting room and the withdrawal of the Israeli from the Gaza Strip. 50 hostages remain in the hands of Palestinian terrorists, of which at least 28 were considered dead. They are abducted by the strongest tender in Hamas.
The government in Jerusalem consistently emphasizes that the war will end only after the complete defeat of Hamas, including disarming this terrorist group, removing it from the rule in the Gaza Strip and banishing its leaders. According to the statements of Hamas representatives, the group rejects at least some of these conditions.
On Wednesday, Netanyahu repeated his position, saying that “there will be no Hamastan.” At the same time, he noted that the government constantly strives to release hostages and defeat Hamas. The suggestions that these goals are excluded were called “nonsense”.
The US president is pressing on Israel and Hamas
Trump is more and more pressure on both sides to agree to a truce, and announces an imminent acceptance of the agreement. The US together with Egypt and Qatar mediate in negotiations in this matter for months. Netanyahu on Saturday goes to the USA and Monday is to talk to Trump in the White House.
Israel's international criticism regarding the tragic effects of new attacks in the Gaza Strip and impermeable to sufficient humanitarian aid are also intensifying.
In addition to external pressure, Netanyahu must also take into account the position of far -right coalition partners – who want to continue the fighting to overcome Hamas – and a large part of Israeli public opinion and hostage families, demanding a truce and released even kidnapped at the expense of failure to meet other goals of war.
One of the opposition leaders Jair Lapid announced on Wednesday that his grouping is the future – the greatest club in the parliament coalition – will help the government to finalize the truce agreement, if some of the coalition partners of Netanyahu do not agree.
The war in the Gaza Strip has been going on from October 7, 2023, when about 1,200 people were killed in the Hamas attack to the south of Israel, and 251 were kidnapped. According to the data controlled by Hamas, the Israeli administration has already consumed the lives of over 57 thousand. Palestinians, mainly civilians. The gauze zone is ruined, it has a humanitarian crisis.
