A resident of the Krasnoyarsk Territory was convicted of illegally killing six roe deer

In the Dzerzhinsko-Taseevsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, police detained a 50-year-old man suspected of illegally killing six Siberian roe deer.
It was established that a resident of the village of Bakchet had placed nooses in the forest for hunting. Since the beginning of 2026, six individuals have been caught in traps, which he dragged to the house, cut up the carcasses, burned the skins and heads in the oven, and stored the meat on the veranda.
“During the operational work, law enforcement officers seized fishing gear, Siberian roe deer meat, a knife with which the man butchered the animals, a rope with which he dragged them into the fence of the house from the forest, a galvanized bathtub with traces of a brown substance and wool,” said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to preliminary data, the damage caused by the poacher’s actions amounted to about 600,000 rubles.
Based on this fact, a criminal case was opened under paragraph “a” of Part 1 of Art. 258 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Illegal hunting with infliction major damage.” During the investigation, the suspect was given a coercive measure in the form of an obligation to appear. They can punish him a fine of up to 500 thousand rubles; or correctional or forced labor; or imprisonment for a term of up to two years.
